Honestly, December is a blur with one exception. Christmas of course. We had a fun Christmas morning at home. The kids love their new toys. Kaia got some Littlest Pet Shop stuff and a horse stable/horses. Tatum was more interested in the candy in her stocking than anything else. Brandt has been talking about a Polar Express train he saw for months. It was the first thing he asked for, and anytime someone asked him what Santa was going to bring him he told them that train. So Santa felt a little pressure to deliver, ya know. He has a bazillion trains, but oh well. When he came out in the morning and saw it he didn't even know what to do (video below). The whole day he played with that train. Eating and relieving himself was a burden.
Later that day grandpa, grandma, uncles and aunt came into town from Utah and spent several days with us. We had a great time and the kids are still trying to recover from all the fun :) Thank you Smiths!
And I couldn't pass this one up. Tatum is in her own bed now and has taken after her older sister in one peculiar way--she has to have about 15 things in her bed before she will go to sleep. About five animals, two blankets, a pillow and a dozen books. She loves books and wants as many as she can get away with. She is always trying to sneak out of her bed and get some more after we leave. She does "read" them at least. When we went in the other day after she had fallen asleep we saw this. She must have passed out right when she was reading?
A fast, fun December. Hope you all had a happy and healthy Christmas and New Years. And next month we'll have a new addition to welcome. Exciting stuff and I'm glad the holidays can make it seem to come more quickly ;)

how fun! Christmas is so much more fun with kids! haha. We missed you.
I love the excitement of your kiddos on Christmas morning. So cute. Especially the fact that Tatum was more interested in the candy than toys...
I've been thinking about how lucky you are to be delivering in 3 weeks from now! I'm so ready to be done being prego too. Love you and can't wait to see her!
Looks like you guys had a great Christmas! Thanks for the card. Someday we won't be so lame and actually send some cards out too. Good luck with the final count down to delivery. Can't wait to see pictures of your new little one!
Ahhh! The darling Smith kids. The pics are great. The one of Tatum reminds me exactly of Julia when she was that age. (I have the same picture of her, but the book she fell asleep reading was "Olivia: Sweet Dreams"). I've had to start limiting the number of books she can take to bed or she'll stay up too late. :) Love it!! Glad you guys had a good Christmas.
